Who Are You?

Standard

When I strip your soul
Down to the rusty core
Break your barrier of bones
Till there is no more

When I turn your mind
Into a black hole, a void;
Shed your serpent’s skin
All your masks destroyed

When I leave you alone
Will you dare to peek?
Through the cracks of your life
At the mirror of reality

No longer is it conjured
By either you or me
The image, the reflection
Of a creature that you see

With nothing to give
Nothing to seek
Nothing to gain
Nothing to retain

Or someone to absorb
Someone to accept
Someone to embrace
Someone to face

Who are you?
Where did you come from?
Who are you?
What will you become?
